Building Project

The Byoma Kusuma Building project is well underway – however major work still remains to be done. The Main Hall structure is now complete, and we have installed beautiful welcoming carved doors. The second floor is also complete.

What remains is everything else:

  • The whole building including the Main Hall needs finishing done
  • The Main Hall shrine needs to be built
  • The sub-basement needs to be built
  • The parking and ground areas need to be completed

The building as it is now already provides a home to our precious Guru Ratnashri, and is a refuge for his many students who come there to pay darshan and attend teachings and other events. The Main Hall even in its unfinished state has hosted many teachers including the late His Eminence Chogye Trichen Rinpoche and His Holiness Sakya Trizin Rinpoche. It has also seen many teachings and wangs (initiations). Our aim is to provide more facilities and a place of serenity for anyone who wishes to come here. In order to complete this work, your contribution will be greatly appreciated.

Translations and Publications

The Byoma Kusuma Translation Committee has translated various Buddhist Texts from the Tibetan and Sanskrit to Nepali and made them accessible to the Nepali community. The committee aims to continue translations of other important texts and make the teachings more readily available.

Now that two series of the Bodhipushpanjalis have been successfully published (in Nepali), the committee is working hard to quickly get to press the third book in the series. In addition, work is being done on the English versions of these teachings, so that Ratnashri's precious words are also accessible to non-Nepali speaking students and general audience.

These translations and publications are very significant and help disseminate Buddha's teachings widely and effectively, so they are very worthy of your generous support.

Amitabh Trust

The Amitabh Trust was established in order that individuals may specify the death rites they would want done on their behalf. You can provide a donation at any time and your request will be recorded and the appropriate rites performed on your behalf at the time of death. The minimum contribution is Rs. 10,000 (about U.S.$140), and puja to Amitabh Buddha will be performed for one week. You can make higher contributions for more elaborate pujas. You can also make contributions to the general Amitabh Trust so that pujas may be performed for those not able to make the contributions. Please contact Byoma Kusuma at byomakusuma@gmail.com to discuss the rites in detail.

Bodhipushpanjali Sponsor

Bodhipushpanjalis are held the first Saturday of every Nepali month. Please see the Events page for when the dates fall. Bodhipushanjalis are important events where the sangha and even non-sangha members gather to hear the teachings of Ratnashri as presented and explained by Narayn Rijal. Two types of sponsorship are available – Dharma Dan and Bhojan Dan. The Dharma Dan sponsor supports the presentation of the teaching, and the Bhojan Dan is to sponsor the food provided at the event.

General Fund

Your contribution to the General Fund is also important. This will support general activities going on at Byoma Kusuma including setting up teachings and events.
